We arrived at the Madison Campground just after noon, checked in, and found our spot easily. It was a good spot, close to the bathrooms and not really squeezed in like in other areas. It was a bit drizzly off and on, but nothing worth worrying about. The boys set the tent up, and we tossed our bags in so we could go check out the bison along the Madison River about a half mile away.
